spent part of the afternoon this weekend with the Northern Youth Project.
we love great teen initiative building in abiquiu.
two weekends ago we were able to shoot their "recycle monster" float
for the el rito fiesta's (see pics below) and today they were
creating a piece on a donated wall in their teen center garden.
we 'tagged' along.

their teacher was an old friend who i probably hadn't seen in a decade
but whose talent + ability to work with teens + generally amazing spirit
has only grown since last saw him.

he worked with the teens on mapping out what they wanted + color choices
+ helping outline. next weekend they will paint in and finish the piece during
the abiquiu studio tour.
